A Look Back at March

A Look Back

At the end of each month, I’m looking back at the things I learned, loved, and lived through. This is my look back at March.

LEARNED

I learned that we don’t need to run to God with peace offerings and there are 4 things that happen when God gives you a vision for your ministry. I also learned a lot about being a mandated reporter, even though I’m not one.

I also learned about Buffer. I haven’t used it extensively, but I installed the Chrome extension and I love how easy it is to use! I just found out that I can first highlight a quote and then click the Buffer extension and the quote is right there, ready to be placed on queue.

Aaaand…I’m learning to use my new smartphone! I finally joined just about everybody else. There’s a learning curve, but I’m catching on. Um, I can’t believe how fast the battery is draining. It was on full power last night and now it’s about 50% and I haven’t used it much except to configure the settings to conserve battery life! Kinda ironic. I have resolved not to get addicted to it. We’ll see.

LOVED

I said I loved how easy Buffer is to use, and I’m loving Pablo, a Buffer extension/app. It’s helps you easily create and share images on Twitter, Facebook, or Buffer (and you can download the images you create). It’s a great way to share a quote from a blog post like this:

I’m also loving Mind Mup, an online mind map website. There’s a little bit of a learning curve, like it took me a couple of minutes to figure out how to add what they call a “node,” which is a sub-topic and how to switch node colors. There are other features I haven’t tried, but I like the outcome of those I have tried.

LIVED

March sent me a horrible sickness that took 3 weeks to completely disappear.

I also joined the Bloom Book study for The Fringe Hours: Making Time for You by Jessica N. Turner. Even though a lot of the book doesn’t apply to my current season in life, it’s easy to see how this book will turn into a reference book as I move through different seasons or stages in life. It’s a seamless blend of inspiration and practical advice.

I haven’t seen Cinderella, the live action movie. From being sick to being too busy, this Disney fan is a little upset about that. On the other hand, I found out about Discount Days at select Cinemark theaters. $6.50 for a movie all day long (at the theater near me, Discount Day is on Tuesday). Something to look forward to, and maybe you can take advantage of it as well 🙂

What about you? What were you up to in March?

  1. I have the Fringe Hours on hold at the library and I am quite curious about it. I enjoyed your post! Thanks for stopping by my blog today, too!

I'd love to hear from you!
