Weekend and Color Fun

Weekend Fun

Apparently I am a Yellow Personality. According to Dr. Carol Ritberger, I’m independent, creative, vibrant, and friendly. I think outside the box, value my freedom, hold stress in my abdominal area, and prone to tension headaches when I feel out of control. I’ve never heard of stress in my tummy, but maybe it’s whenever I feed it lots of chocolate. Then again, that means it’s always stressed! What color are you?

Diving more into art this summer, I bought the Crayola “my color is” series in Pink from Target (because pink is my favorite color even though yellow is pretty spot on). My only complaint is the box is deceptive. It looks like the items inside are all the same length, but they’re not (see picture below). These are also available in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and black.

Crayola Pink

I adore the Slick Stix. It really is slick! I bought the primary colors for my Toddler Sunday School class. It is very pigmented and colors on just about any surface, including skin. Learn from my mistake! Use art aprons. They do wash out and were easy to remove using baby wipes. That modern art above-bottom-right-picture was done by a 2-year-old for Mother’s Day.

Also in Target is Fringe Hours by Jessica Turner! It’s on sale now for $12.99, but it’s $10.77 online (Target.com). I enjoyed reading this book along with Bloom book club. It helped me rethink my hours.

Jessica wrote, “the real point of making time for you isn’t about what you do during that time as much as it is about how it makes you feel and the ripple effect that has on the rest of your life. Truly, it is about living well” (Fringe Hours).

Do you make time for yourself? Or is there no time for yourself? Well there is! It’s called fringe hours!

I’m about to have some fringe hours myself, and I’ll be reading these inspiring words. It pays to be prepared because fringe hours can happen anytime.

And here you can watch grown up “Matilda” characters reenact scenes from the movie!

That is it for this Weekend Fun. What are you doing this weekend?

I'd love to hear from you!
