Happy Monday!
I wanted to share this with you.
Poor bird was just enjoying his day, basking in the sun on that rock, when I came along with my camera 🙂 He was so still at first that my family and I thought it was a statue. But he would move little by little until I came too close. He spread his wings and flew to the fountain in the middle of the lake where nobody could reach him.
I was looking at my calendar for this month and it’s filled. It smelled like a busy holiday, and I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed. Like the bird, I want to fly away where nobody could reach me.
How do you balance a busy calendar? I do any combination of these:
Use a slow cooker. For busy moms or daughters who cook for their families, the slow cooker is going to be your new best friend. I love using this because you can set it in the morning or around noon and leave it be. Food will be ready for dinner. And I have been using Campbell’s Slow Cooker Sauces. I’m not being paid to say this: they’re good! And if you think it through, you can modify family recipes so you cook them in the slow cooker. My sister’s done it with chicken adobo.
Delegate or ask for help. This is so important in the ministry because you can’t do it all. Even if you don’t think you’re in a position to delegate, you can ask for help and delegate responsibilities to the people willing to help you.
Say no. So simple, but yet so hard to do sometimes. Still, it’s crucial. There are some things we can pass up.
Step back. Take on less responsibilities or different responsibilities, which I need to do with this blog for this month. Since I’m doing NaNoWriMo, I might not always write a post, but I would very much like to share a photograph (preferably one that I took).
What are some parts of your balancing act?
