Happy Friday friends! Today’s my last day of being 30, so I thought I would share with you my go-to birthday freebies for when your birthday comes up this year. I’ve always celebrated low-key, but I love my freebies and these are the ones I make sure to use every year.
If you Google “birthday freebies,” you can find other websites with more comprehensive lists. Check those out to see if stores near you offer anything. This is my personal list. I use it every year and they work.
Quick note. I’m not being paid for any of the endorsements below. I truly use these to make my birth month a blessed one. If you have a Gmail email, use it to sign up so any promotional emails you get will be automatically sorted into Gmail’s Promotions tab. In most of these cases, if you unsubscribe from the company’s emails, you unsubscribe from the program and won’t get the freebie. In my experience, they keep the emails to a minimum.
Starbucks Birthday Reward
For free, register any Starbucks gift card and you become part of the Starbucks Reward program. You accumulate stars (1 purchase transaction = 1 star). Every 12 stars and on your birth month, you get a free drink or food reward.
IHOP Pancake Revolution eClub
If you sign up for IHOP’s Pancake Revolution eClub, you get 2 freebies. First is on the anniversary of you signing up for the eClub, and second is on your birthday. You get a free order of Rooty Tooty Fresh ‘N Fruit Pancakes or any of order from their Our World Famous Pancakes in the regular menu. The email says this is for “Dine in only,” but last year, I asked if I can order to-go and use the freebie, and they allowed it. Thanks, IHOP!
Nothing Bundt Cakes
If you have a branch near you, make sure to sign up for their email list and they’ll give you one free bundt cake for your birthday.
Red Robin Royalty Reward
Sign up for the Red Robin Royalty Rewards program and you get a free burger, yum! I always get their Banzai Burger, it has pineapple. Their burgers com with steak fries, bottomless if you dine-in.
Wingstop eClub
Wingstop will send you a coupon for free large fries if you sign up for their eClub. It would be great to get free wings, but fries are good too.
Sephora Beauty Insider
Sign up for free and you’ll get free makeup or skincare on your birth month. You also rack up points that you can exchange for products or discounts. I recommend going to a stand-alone Sephora store. One year, I went to one inside a JC Penny, and they had the previous year’s birthday freebie. Since my birthday’s in January, it may be because they haven’t received the new stock of birthday freebies and was still using leftover ones from the previous year. So go to a stand-alone branch because they always have the new ones in stock.
Noteworthy: Ulta
Last year, Ulta sent me an email for free makeup for my birthday. It was a quad eyeshadow palette that I adore and use to this day. I’ve had their rewards card for a while and that was the first birthday freebie I’ve gotten from them. I haven’t received an email from them this year.
How do you celebrate your birthday or birthday month?
