Question 10:
Google the meaning of your name and talk about how it fits or doesn’t fit you
I already know the meaning of my name and I quite like it 🙂 I Googled it anyway and here’s what popped up:
Anna means grace.
It’s a variation of the Hebrew name Hannah, which means favor or grace or gracious (as in God has favored me or the grace of God, not graceful/elegant). The name “Anna” appears briefly in the New Testament as the name of a prophet who recognizes baby Jesus as the Messiah and tells others about Him (Luke 2:36-38).
Angela means messenger of God.
It’s derived from the Greek word angelos.
Do you see why I like my name? It fits me like crazy! I think so anyway.
Not that I’m full of grace. I think that part of my name, the grace of God, is a blessing from God. But I think it’s amazing that the Bible mentions Anna, a prophet that recognizes a baby for who He is. Working in the children’s ministry, I pray that for myself. That I recognize children for who God made them to be, to pray for them, to help them grow in the fear of the Lord.
And then tack on Angela, messenger of God. It just kinda fits. My mom named me, by the way.
Question 11:
Your worst/funniest/most embarrassing date
Ah, sorry. No answer here because I’ve never been on a date. You don’t really want a list of embarrassing moments, do you? Yeah, I didn’t think so. 🙂
