Weekend Fun in a Vlog! Travel Essentials

Weekend Fun

Blog-tember Challenge prompt: Record a VLOG!

Here are the travel essentials I mentioned in my video (affiliate links included):

Laptop. I’m actually taking my Toshiba Chromebook 2, which is so much lighter!

Barnes & Noble Nook Color is like having a library at your hands. There are also game apps that can be downloaded, which is great for passing the time. I now have a smartphone, and have two books in Kindle (Delicious Blogging by Debi Stangeland and Principles for Business Success by Andre Olivier) and one book in BookGrabbr (You Are a Writer by Jeff Goins), but still not used to reading books on my phone.

Odwalla Bar in Banana Nut has been my favorite flavor so far. I say it’s a great snack, but it’s a good on-the-go meal, especially in the morning.

Summer’s Eve Cleansing Cloths because a girl’s gotta stay clean. I carry these with me in my purse. You can throw them in your gym bag. I don’t go to the gym so I don’t do that.

Dickinson’s Witch Hazel Towelettes with Aloe. I use their witch hazel as a toner, but traveling with liquids can be a pain and a hassle so these are a great alternative. I just find that there’s a lot of product in that one tiny packet for my face alone so I would use it on my neck and shoulders too.

Garnier Fructis Hair Power Putty transferred inside little baggies are a great way for me to take my hair styling products with me. I also take a travel sized hairspray. I currently have the TRESemme Hairspray, but my favorite is Got2b Blasting Freeze Spray. I want to start a campaign for them to sell it in travel size.

My go-to travel eyeshadow palette is MAC’s Antiquitease Royal Assets in Warm Eyes (they don’t sell it anymore), and I take with me NARS Mini Duo in Orgasm (blush) and Laguna (bronzer). I take other makeup and brushes with me, but I always take these two.

BONUS travel essential: Earphones! I remember a time when airlines provided them for free, but not anymore.

I am going to the Orange Tour in Irvine next week! Which is why I’m excited about packing. It’s a very short flight so I didn’t include my neck pillow. For longer flights, it’s a must have. It seems hard to travel with it because of its shape and because you can’t pack it (you need to easily access it on the plane), but the pay-off is worth the hassle.

Aside from the essentials (like underwear), what are your travel essentials?

I'd love to hear from you!
